Our Statement:

Last updated April 03, 2020

Many of you know, we have seen a shift in our ordinary lives due to the slow crawl of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This pandemic has impacted businesses, and most importantly, people across the world. Here at JustPlainFitness®, our mission statement is to continually provide an easy to understand approach to health, and fitness, which allows us to change many lives each day. In this instance, we want to extend our efforts in living up to our mission statement by passing on the ways that we can fight against the spread of the Coronavirus:

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends (Link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/):

“washing your hands frequently” with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer for 20 seconds. This action helps to eradicate the virus that can live on hand, which will contribute significantly to decreasing any further spread.

“Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth,” which minimizes the chances of the virus entering your body.

“Maintaining social distancing,” especially if you are experiencing fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

If we keep these tips in mind, we can help flatten the curve, or in other words, decrease new cases of the virus, which can overwhelm medical facilities overtime.

As for exercise, most fitness facilities have shut their doors amid this event, and most of the world is under a mandate to self-quarantine. However, training is still possible and recommended to those looking to strengthen their immune system, among other benefits. So, what we will be doing at this time is we will be creating free home training programs for all demographics. These workouts include:

1. Seniors, and those indicated under special populations (fibromyalgia, individuals with limited range of motion, previously injured, and so on)

2. Beginners (those who have less than six months of training experience)

3. Intermediate (up to a year of training experience)

4. Advanced (two years or more of training experience)

This content will all be updated on our Instagram page @JustPlainFitness, and will also shift onto our site in the coming weeks.

In our final sentence, we want to encourage everyone out there to continue to take heed to the instructions from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and the National Institute of Health (NIH). That way, we can all do our part in ensuring the end to COVID-19.

In Good Health,

Jean Pierre, CPT, and CEO of JustPlainFitness®
